The use of small electric thresher

Currently, small electric threshers are widely used, but many users struggle with poor threshing results due to improper adjustment. To ensure optimal performance and safety, the following key points should be considered during operation.

1. Adjust the gap between the roller's nail teeth and the concave screen bars—commonly referred to as the concave screen clearance. If the gap is too large, the threshing process will not be thorough, leaving a lot of chaff and grains mixed in the straw. On the other hand, if the gap is too small, it can increase grain breakage. It’s important to adjust the screen screws so that the gap is even across the entire surface. The inlet gap of the concave screen is typically 8–10 mm, while the outlet gap should be around 5–7 mm. After adjusting, make sure the rotating drum moves smoothly and freely without any resistance.

2. Regularly check the tension of the belt. A belt that is too tight can cause overheating and even burn out the motor, while a belt that is too loose may slip, reducing the efficiency of the machine and leading to incomplete threshing. A loose belt can also age and break more quickly. Always inspect the belt for wear and replace it when necessary to avoid unexpected failures during operation.

3. Be cautious when handling electricity to prevent electrical shocks. Always follow professional guidance when moving or installing the thresher. Before starting work, carefully inspect all electrical connections to ensure they are secure and properly insulated. The motor must be grounded, and the insulation resistance between the windings and the housing should be at least 0.5 megohms. Use power cables that meet the required specifications, and replace any damaged or aged wires immediately. Never operate the thresher in wet conditions, as this increases the risk of electric shock.

4. Follow safe threshing procedures. Before using the machine, perform a full inspection to ensure all parts are functioning correctly, including checking for loose or missing bolts. Remove any foreign objects from the straw before feeding it into the machine, and confirm that everything is working properly before starting. Feed the crops evenly, neatly, and continuously, avoiding overloading. If a blockage occurs, do not force the material through. After operating for 3–4 hours, stop the machine, allow it to rest, and check the tightness of bolts, the belt, and the lubrication levels to maintain its performance and longevity.
