The use of small electric thresher

Currently, small electric threshers are widely used, but many users experience poor threshing results due to improper adjustment. To ensure optimal performance and safety, the following key points should be carefully followed.

1. Adjust the clearance between the roller's nail teeth and the concave screen bars, commonly referred to as the concave gap. If the gap is too large, the threshing process will not be thorough, leaving a lot of chaff and grains mixed in the straw. On the other hand, if the gap is too small, it can lead to more grain breakage. It’s important to adjust the screen screws so that the gap remains even throughout. Typically, the inlet gap should be around 8-10 mm, while the outlet gap should be 5-7 mm. After adjusting, make sure the rotating drum moves smoothly and freely without any resistance.

2. Regularly check the tightness of the belt. A belt that is too tight may cause overheating and eventual burning out, while one that is too loose can slip, reducing efficiency and leading to incomplete threshing. A loose belt also accelerates wear and tear, increasing the risk of breakage. Always inspect the belt for signs of aging or damage, and replace it when necessary. Never continue using a damaged or worn-out belt.

3. Be extremely cautious with electrical safety. Always follow professional guidance when moving or installing the thresher. Before starting work, thoroughly check all electrical connections to ensure they are secure and insulated properly. The motor must be grounded, and the insulation resistance between the windings and the housing should not be less than 0.5 megohms. Use power cables that meet the required specifications. If any wires are damaged or show signs of aging, replace them immediately. Never operate the electric thresher in wet conditions, as this can lead to serious electric shocks.

4. Follow safe threshing techniques. Before operation, perform a full inspection of the machine, checking for free rotation and ensuring all bolts are secure and in place. Before feeding crops into the thresher, remove any foreign objects from the straw and confirm that the machine is fully operational. Feed the material evenly, consistently, and in appropriate amounts. Never force feed if a blockage occurs. After running continuously for 3-4 hours, stop the machine and allow it to rest. During this time, check the tightness of bolts, the belt tension, and ensure that all lubrication points are adequately filled.

By following these guidelines, users can significantly improve the efficiency and safety of their small electric thresher operations, ensuring better performance and longer equipment life.
