The technical points of rice and crab

In September of each year, it is the critical period for the co-production of crab cultivation in rice fields. At this stage, the crabs in the rice fields are in a period of rapid growth, and whether the rice farmers have a good income is also at this time. Therefore, the question of water quality regulation in the paddy field, feed feeding, disease, and natural enemies is crucial to the success of this technology.

Water quality management

Regardless of whether to raise crabs or raise fish, the management of water quality must meet the needs of crab growth, and at the same time, it must consider the requirements for rice growth. After the two are unified, they can become good co-production techniques. Therefore, in the management of water quality, we must grasp the following three aspects.

One is to adjust the water level according to seasonal changes. After the jointing of rice in August, the water level can be raised to the maximum and the field surface can maintain a water depth of 10 cm. Before the rice is harvested in October, the water level is gradually reduced to the field surface and the rice is ready to be harvested.

The second is to adjust the water level according to changes in weather and water quality. The crab growth requires that the pool be rich in dissolved oxygen. In order to meet this requirement, it is necessary to maintain regular water changes. During the hot season from July to September, change the water 1-2 times a week, change the water 1/3 each time; change the water every 5-10 days after October, change the water every time 1/4---1/3 . It is also necessary to strengthen observations at ordinary times, such as adding water in time if the water level is too shallow, and replacing fresh water if the water quality is too strong. Water change time is usually performed at 10-11 am.

The third is to adjust the water level according to the pest control requirements of rice fields. In the middle period of rice growth, most of them need to be field-baked. The combination of rice and crabs should be lightly roasted. The water level should be lowered to the surface to expose the water surface. The baking time should be short, and the water should be added to the original water level immediately after the baking. When it is necessary to spray insecticides during rice growth, fresh water must be changed after spraying.

Feeding of bait

Crabs are omnivorous aquatic animals, especially animal feeds. Therefore, we must adhere to the principle of feeding with meat and vegetables, so that crabs eat well and promote growth. Specifically, you should master the following four aspects.

First, to grasp the characteristics of crab feeding habits, to open up sources of food, we should make full use of the characteristics of food and miscellaneous gluttony, stick to local conditions, a variety of channels to solve the source of bait, to meet the maximum demand for crab growth and fattening on the bait.

(1) Vegetable feeds mainly include aquatic plants, pumpkins, watermelon rinds and bean cakes, peanut cakes, wheat, corn and sesame.

(2) Animal foods mainly include small fish, shrimp, cocoon, frog meat, and internal organs of livestock and poultry.

(3) The compound pellet feed has various advantages such as comprehensive nutrition, strong palatability, and easy use, and can be made into series feeds according to different growth stages of juvenile crabs, yellow crabs, and commercial crabs. The effect of increasing production and income can be purchased and used directly.

Second, make full use of the advantages of light, heat, water, and gas resources in rice fields, and do a good job in the cultivation and utilization of natural food. You can use phytosanitary fertilizer, appropriate fertilizer and other methods to cultivate zooplankton, benthic organisms, and green grass shoots. At the same time, from May to July, 200-400kg of lions should be added to the acres of paddy fields, or some squid-carrying squids and green-egg sculpins should be given to allow them to reproduce naturally and provide high-quality, palatable baits for crabs. In one fell swoop.

Third, in accordance with the fishing season and different stages of growth and development of crabs, do a good job of food with. In April and May, when the crabs were newly reared, they should focus on small fish, shrimp or soybean cakes, wheat, corn and other concentrates, and adopt a small number of feeding methods. July-September is the peak season for crab growth. It should be based on green grass such as water grass, pumpkin, and hawthorn, and appropriate amount of animal feed. From mid-September to October, you should feed some small miscellaneous fish and snail meat to promote crab feeding and increase crab body weight. At the same time, it also created conditions for the storage, transportation, and improvement of the survival rate of crabs after fishing.

Fourth, according to the rules of life of the river crabs, the implementation of scientific feeding. The daily feeding amount of crabs gradually increases as the individual grows. When the crabs are in the commercial crab stage, the daily feeding amount is 5%-8% of the crab's body weight, and is adjusted according to the changes of the season, weather, water quality, and crab feeding activities. Feeding 2 times a day, and once in the evening, the general evening feeding should account for 60% - 70% of the whole day.

Disease prevention and control

The phrase often used in traditional Chinese medicine is "incurable if it has not been cured before treatment." It is said that prevention should be the priority and prevention and control of diseases should be done well. The main diseases of crab include crustaceans, gastroenteritis, and diseases caused by parasites, which are mainly controlled through drug prevention and treatment. From October to October, every 15-20 days, 10-15kg of quicklime can be used per acre of ring ditch, and a solution of 20mg/kg of water can be added to the whole ditch to splash once, which can not only play the role of disinfection and disease, but also supplement the growth of crabs. Required calcium.

Various methods are used to eliminate the enemy's damage. The predators of the crab mainly include water mice, water snakes, cormorants, water birds, otters and some ferocious carnivorous fishes. In addition to the thorough removal and disinfection of the crab-raising ditch and the holding pool, it is usually found that the predators must be caught and removed in time, and the water inlet and outlet must be sealed with a tight mesh to prevent entry of enemy pests.

Crab fishing

Crab fishing generally starts in mid-October. If the temperature is high, it can be postponed appropriately. The temperature can also be lowered early. The general principle is that it is advisable not to delay as soon as possible to prevent sudden cooling and freezing and to increase the difficulty of catching crabs. In particular, the use of paddy fields to cultivate crab species should also pay attention to this principle.

The crab fishing method: First, in the crab ditch set cages, crab cages and other tools to capture. The second is to use the water during the day to drain at night and use the habit of migrating crabs to swim. The third method is to adopt the method of first adding water and then draining, and gradually introduce the crab species or merchandise crab into the holding tank for fishing. The fourth is to use the habit of crab crawling on the beach at night and capture it by hand. Combination of the above methods can achieve a catch rate of more than 95%.

Plant extraction process

1. Select plants/herbs. No more than ancient prescriptions, prescriptions, folk herbs to find. At present, common and uncommon herbs have been studied. At present, it is mostly to increase the amount of medicinal materials to extract and separate components with low content, or to find medicinal plants that have never been studied from miao medicine, Tibetan medicine, Mongolian medicine, Africa, Latin America and other places.

2. The extraction. Solvent petroleum ether, n-hexane, cyclohexane, benzene, chloroform, ethyl acetate, n-butanol, acetone, ethanol, methanol, water (low polarity → high polarity). Daily medicine decoction effective, water and ethanol and other solvents with large polarity, such as artemisinin boiling ineffective extraction with petroleum ether and other solvents with small polarity. Common medicinal materials water/alcohol/ether to go through, separation and identification of more compounds.

3. The separation. This is the most important work. In the solution extracted from the second step, there are dozens of compounds, usually by column chromatography, which is often referred to as the column flushing. It's a lot of work, it's boring, it's low tech. A master's student might do this every day for two years. The column for separating compounds, as shown below, is as large as 2 meters high and as small as 10 centimeters. Change the solvent condition of mobile phase, change the material of column, different conditions and different separation principles of column repeatedly punching, can be separated from the monomer compound.
