Please read this manual carefully before using this equipment, and please strictly follow the instructions in this manual to avoid mistakes in use.

1. How plasma works

The jet type atmospheric low temperature plasma processing machine is composed of a plasma generator, a gas delivery system, and a plasma shower head. The plasma generator generates high-voltage high-frequency energy, and a low-temperature plasma is generated in the glow discharge activated and controlled in the nozzle steel pipe, and the plasma is sprayed toward the surface of the workpiece by the compressed air, when the plasma meets the surface of the object to be processed, Chemical and physical changes have occurred, the surface has been cleaned, and hydrocarbon-like contaminants such as grease, auxiliary additives, etc. have been removed, and the surface molecular chain structure has been changed according to the composition of the material. Free radicals such as hydroxyl groups and carboxyl groups have been established. These groups have a role in promoting adhesion to various coating materials and are optimized for bonding and paint applications. Under the same effect, the plasma treated surface can be used to obtain a very thin high-tension coating surface without any mechanical or chemical treatment of any strong acting components to increase adhesion.

3. Features

Equipment installation (refer to the physical picture description)

1) Installation of the spray gun

a. Install the plasma spray gun 3 on the bracket and use appropriate fixing measures to prevent the high-voltage cable, ground wire and air pipe on the gun from being pulled by strong pull, friction and sharp objects.

b. Adjust the gun mounting assembly so that the distance between the nozzle and the workpiece being processed is between 5 and 8 mm. (The processing distance should be tested according to the material, speed and subsequent process. The closer the relative distance is, the stronger the processing strength, but the too close distance will ablate the material)

2) Host placement

a. Install the generator main unit in a suitable part and fix it. Note that the fan and exhaust window of the main unit cannot be blocked by the object when the equipment is working.

b. Do not place the four sides of the mainframe close to the large-scale iron surface. Please leave the material around the device at a distance of more than 10cm. Otherwise, the power consumption will increase due to eddy current loss and increase the temperature rise of the equipment.

3) Connection between the nozzle and the host

a. Connection of the gun high voltage cable: Plug the high voltage cable plug connected to the gun and the main unit into the high voltage port 10 and tighten.

b. Connect the gun ground wire: Fix the yellow-green double-color line of the gun to the ground terminal 18 and connect the protective ground wire.

c. Connection of the air pipe: Insert the air pipe of the plasma spray gun into the “air source output” interface 15 on the main machine, and then connect the compressed air gas source to the input port of the pressure regulating filter 21, and the input pressure of the gas source must be greater than 4 bar.

4) Connection of AC220V power supply

a. Use a wire larger than 0.75mm2 to connect the AC220V power supply to the power input interface of the main unit. The connection has no polarity, but it cannot be connected to the ground.

b. The “ground” terminal must be connected to the protective ground wire.

5) Connection of remote control of equipment: Connect the remote control cable to the control socket 17 and the other end of the cable is the foot controller, which can realize synchronous control.

V. Use of equipment

1. Push the power switch 2 up to the ON position (push down to the OFF position to turn off). At this point, the compressed gas shut-off valve opens. The nozzle first blows out the air to clean the air passage. At the same time, the inverter power is energized. The LCD ammeter displays the value, plasma. The flame body 4 is ejected from the nozzle opening. At this time, the gas source regulating valve 13 can be adjusted with reference to the display value of the digital pressure gauge 8 to adjust the working gas pressure to between 0.5 bar and 0.7 bar (the recommended pressure is set to about 0.6 bar in the middle point: the pressure fluctuation affects the plasma processing intensity, pressure When the temperature is too low, the nozzle will generate heat and the electrode life will be shortened; if the pressure is too high, the plasma flame will be extinguished and the treatment intensity will decrease);

2. In addition, the plasma device can be controlled through the rear panel remote control interface. When the output control socket 17 is turned on (the two terminals of the plug are in the off state when the control is near), the nozzle will eject the plasma, otherwise there is no plasma injection.

3. The digital pressure gauge on the rear panel of the device can set the minimum and maximum protection pressure. The factory protection pressure is set to 0.5-0.7bar. If the gas pressure is lower than 0.5bar or higher than 0.7bar, the wind pressure indicator will sound 9 times. The light alarm indicates that the wind pressure abnormality must be adjusted and eliminated in time; if the wind pressure continues to change below the minimum value (0.4 bar) or above the highest value (0.8 bar), the equipment will be protected, and the nozzle has no plasma flame output. The wind pressure parameter has been set to lock at the factory. If it is modified, please refer to the digital pressure gauge 8 instructions.

4. There is a status fault indication red light on the front of the main unit. When the equipment is working normally, the indicator light is always on. If the interval is 0.5 seconds, the nozzle and related high voltage line are faulty, such as high voltage line disconnection, short circuit, contact. A fault such as a bad one; if a 2-second interval flashes, it indicates that the 12V exhaust fan behind the main unit is faulty.

5. Main factors affecting the plasma treatment effect: material material, running speed, processing power, working wind pressure, nozzle distance.

Sixth, matters needing attention and maintenance

1. WH-1000Z is a high-voltage equipment. Do not open the chassis maintenance equipment without professional knowledge.

2. The grounding terminal of the main unit must be reliably connected (protected) to the ground wire;

3. The high-voltage cable trace between the nozzle and the host should be natural and cannot be bent at a small angle;

4. Pay attention to protect the high-voltage cable to prevent the sharp layer from scratching the insulation layer of the high-voltage cable;

5. The fan and high-voltage transformer in the main unit are cleaned with a brush every 6 months, and the dust on the surface is removed every 3 months in a bad environment.

6. It is recommended to use a pipe brush to clean the carbon deposit on the inner wall of the nozzle before starting the machine every day to keep the plasma flame body stable.

7. The human body should not touch the internal flame of the plasma that is ejected, otherwise it will cause electric shock and burns.

8. The gas source required for the operation of the machine must be water-free and oil-free compressed air. The bad gas source may cause damage to the plasma nozzle.

9. It is strictly forbidden to use in a flammable and explosive atmosphere.
