Overwintering celery colonization and fertilizer and water management techniques in protected areas

In September, it's time to start planting winter celery in greenhouses. Proper care and management during this period are crucial for a successful harvest. Here are some key points to consider: First, proper planting and seedling preparation are essential. The seedlings should be watered thoroughly the day before planting to ensure they are well-hydrated. On the following day, carefully lift the roots and inspect them for any damage or pests. Remove any weak or diseased seedlings and separate them based on size. Plant the celery with a spacing of 10–25 cm between rows, depending on local conditions. After planting, water immediately to help the roots establish quickly. Second, effective water and fertilizer management is vital. In the first 10 to 15 days after planting, maintain consistent moisture levels. Three days after transplanting, water the plants again. When the top layer of soil starts to dry out, perform light cultivation around the seedlings to promote healthy growth. Once the leaves begin to turn green, it’s time to start fertilizing. Apply 10 kg of urea and 20 kg of potassium sulfate per acre along with irrigation. Approximately 15 to 20 days later, when the plants reach about 25 cm in height, apply another 10 kg of urea. After removing the mulch, combine irrigation with 15 kg of urea and 10 kg of potassium sulfate. As temperatures drop, gradually reduce the amount of irrigation. Stop watering and fertilizing at least 10 days before harvesting to allow the celery to mature properly. This careful approach ensures that the plants remain healthy and produce high-quality yields by the time they’re ready to be harvested.

Soy Lecithin Powder

Soy lecithin powder is a substance derived from soybeans that is commonly used as an emulsifier, stabilizer, and thickener in food products. It is a natural source of phospholipids, which are essential components of cell membranes. Soy lecithin powder is often added to chocolate, baked goods, and other processed foods to improve texture and prevent separation of ingredients. It is also used in the production of dietary supplements and pharmaceuticals. Soy lecithin powder is generally considered safe for consumption, although some people with soy allergies may need to avoid it.
