Recently, during our casual morning photoshoot for Brayden's 10-month milestone in the soft glow of his bedroom window, Aliyah couldn't keep her eyes off the camera. At first, she seemed more interested in posing than anything else. When I mentioned we needed to focus on Brayden's pictures first, she shrugged her shoulders with a hint of frustration before hopping off the rocking chair. That's when Brayden decided to join in, trying to climb down too. But then something magical happened—Aliyah, standing behind the camera, gave him one of her trademark peppy speeches that instantly grabbed his attention and kept him still long enough for us to snap some shots. Once it was her turn to shine, Aliyah truly owned it. Her confidence radiated through every pose, and she didn't miss a beat. Watching her transform into this little star made my heart swell with pride. But the highlight of the day came when I handed her my camera. At her request, she eagerly began snapping away, eager to capture moments of her own. The joy on her face as she clicked away at Brayden and me was priceless. Honestly, I think she was having even more fun than I was! Now, I know this isn't exactly groundbreaking or life-changing news, but it got me thinking. My little girl is slowly falling in love with photography, much like her momma. It’s incredible to watch her grow and discover new passions. Photography seems to be just one of those things that comes naturally to her—it’s almost like she was born with an eye for detail.
