The gate valve is divided into two types: wedge type and parallel type according to the structure of the shutter. The wedge type ram has three kinds of structures: the structure of the single ram (Fig. 1) is simple, but the processing precision of the wedge angle is high, and it is easy to cause jamming and scratching; the structure of the double ram (Fig. 2a) The wedge angle accuracy requirement is low, the ram is not easy to be wedged, but the structure is more complicated; the elastic ram (Fig. 2b) has the advantages of single sluice and double sluice, which can avoid their disadvantages and is therefore widely used. Its structural feature is that there is an annular groove on the periphery of the shutter to make the shutter have appropriate elasticity. Parallel gate valves usually use a double ram structure (Fig. 2c); special-purpose gate valves, such as large-diameter gate valves used in long-distance oil and gas pipelines, use a single ram structure for cleaning valves and piping.

Valve type can be distinguished, such as: Z41Y-16, DN150 is a single gate flange gate valve, nominal diameter 150, sealing surface material is hard alloy. The Z42-16 and DN150 are double gate valves, and the other parameters are exactly the same. It can also be roughly judged from the appearance that the sealing portion of the double gate valve seal is larger than the single shutter.

Single gate valve zui is common, the price is lower, the technology is mature, and the seal is reliable.
