Skilled chicken with vitamins

When chickens experience stress, such as during vaccination or transportation, it's recommended to increase their vitamin intake by 10%. This includes vitamins A, E, D, and C. These nutrients help support the immune system and reduce the negative effects of stress on the birds. In cases of chronic respiratory diseases, adding 10% more of vitamins A, E, and C can help improve recovery and prevent further complications. For broiler chickens, increasing the vitamin A content in feed by 5% can enhance feed conversion efficiency and promote faster growth. Additionally, lower levels of vitamin A in feed are associated with a higher incidence of coccidiosis. Therefore, when coccidiosis is present, it’s advisable to add 20% more vitamin A, vitamin K, and vitamin C to the feed to support recovery and strengthen immunity. If chickens suffer from fatty liver syndrome, adding 5% more choline chloride and 10% more multivitamins can help improve liver function and overall health. During hot Summer months, adding 2% vitamin C to the feed can boost the chickens’ resistance, help regulate body temperature, and improve productivity while reducing stress. During peak egg-laying periods, it's beneficial to increase vitamin B2 by 2%. To improve eggshell hardness, in addition to adding 2% calcium to the feed, 2% vitamin A and vitamin C should also be included. When fleas and coccidiosis are present in the flock, an additional amount of multivitamin should be added to the feed to support the birds' immune systems and speed up recovery. If a specific vitamin deficiency is observed in the flock, the vitamin content in the feed should be increased to three times the normal level to correct the deficiency effectively. For young chicks and breeder chickens, the vitamin content should be twice the standard amount to support proper development and reproductive performance. Generally, caged chickens require 10% more multi-vitamin ingredients compared to free-range chickens, as they have less access to natural sources of nutrients. If feed is used for an extended period (more than 30 days), it's recommended to add 5% to 10% more multivitamins to compensate for nutrient loss and maintain optimal health.
